Finished. You wouldn't know it to look at it, but for some reason whenever I worked on the quilting on this quilt I had a hankering for a glass of wine and a history lesson. With a few belly laughs thrown in for good measure.

I just had to come back and visit my quilt again and laugh about ur post. There was a lot of wine drinking going on the week I started this quilt in Florida (last March!!)....which I'm sure you were able to tell from my many unmatched seams, crooked sewing, and crappy cutting! I may just drive down to DI myself tomorrow to get it and give u a big hug and a smooch!
The wine didn't show up in the quilt - it looks so pretty . . . scrappy and fresh looking. But I do remember you talking about how the drinking caused your blocks to change! And what a nice rememberance of family time.
