There's been new research and promising results in the search for a cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Injecting a patient with their own stem cells seems to bring incredible results. This brings hope for many MS people.

So that was the first promising trial. Next a bigger trial. Then to the FDA for approval. Oh, that sounds like a very long time. I'm not a patient person. I suggested to Scott that we research it on the internet . . . such a wonderful tool . . . and do it ourselves . . . . what's the worst that could happen?
Yes, I'm kidding.

I heard about this.....they really need to HURRY UP! and do the research.
Hi Kathleen,
I read the little article and watched the video. It seems like a teaser. They didn't say how the other 20 people did or where to go for more info or to be part of a trial. Have there been other pieces of hopeful information out there thru the years? When I saw the # of people with MS, I wondered how motivated the powers that be could be. Of course it's important to those of us that have a family member with MS and usually $ is the motivater for action. As in what drug company can make money from this. I'm usually an optimistic person and I'd like to see these thoughts proved wrong. It just seems a little mean to put that spattering of info out there. I've made myself feel glum and maybe should have kept my thoughts to myself. Sorry if I was offensive. Now after that little diatribe how do I move on to have a nice day? Oh yes the gratitude list. That's a great transition piece and always makes a difference for me. Love Pat
Don't keep your thoughts to yourself! Love to hear them. You are right about the motivation - it's called an orphan disease because the numbers aren't big enough to warrant big $ investments in research. We have heard though from other sources that stem cell therapy is very promising. Sorry to make you glum! We found it encouraging and you are right - the gratitude list - a wonderful thing.
