The Cows Came Home

I'm so glad our neighboring farmer is going natural with his fertilizers.

Really. I am.

So what if my house smells like the cows came home and partied all night long.

(Sigh)

Nice blog! I've added you to my reader.

Alas, I am totally homesick now. Driving down a country road, lined with tassled corn (omgoodness, the way that smells).

The dairy barns and their *ahem* particular odors (ok, so I don't mind it a bit), knowing to hold my breath past the chicken farms-ew.

Now living in the desert of Arizona where I'm still trying to get used to the smell after the rain. Smells like wet cement rather than worms, lol.

How funny. Hope the smell clears up soon. Cute picture though.

Hi Kathleen,
Did you know that I use to go out to a farm in the very early morning to get milk. A couple of my neighbors were on the run also so we could take turns. We had glass gallon bottles that we filled from a cooler that held the milk that the farmer had put there shortly before we arrived. He would still be cleaning up sometimes. Now that seems like a lifetime ago. Pat
