I'm following the "Stitch-a-long With Linda" on the Thistledown blog. It sounds like it will be a relaxed, no pressure project. If you head on over to her blog you'll find a great list of reasons to go fabric shopping, along with the fabric requirements.
I had to go fabric shopping today. Really. My stash just didn't have what I needed. I wanted bright and happy. I think I found it.
I chose my focus fabric from the Birdie line by Me and My Sisters. The yellow and blue are my light and dark. Then it calls for four more fabrics. The colored dots on the blue background in the upper right will be in the quilt and will also be binding. Tomorrow we cut!

Very pretty fabrics.
Hi Kathleen, really cute fabrics you choose to use for my Stitch-a-long with Linda. You're right, it is going to be a relaxed no pressure style Stitch-a-Long. No one needs more stress but everyone needs another quilt!
Alright....let me crush ur buzz a little...very sorry.Really ...I am.
I LOVE that dark blue fabric...I do.
But.....(and I'm no expert)I think ur dark needs to be a dark turquoise. From the pic I don't see any of that blue in the other fabric. Altho, maybe with the turqoise it would be too matchy matchy (words from Heidi Klum)
I could be, probably am, wrong as I am a VERY novice quilter and some of the things I've made been leave very little to be desired but all the things you make are AWESOME.
I'll shut now. Love you.
I wondered about the dark blue. And the pattern on it is graceful/pretty and all the others are funky/pretty. I have trouble pulling together several fabrics. Two or three I'm okay but several is struggle. Thanks for the input!
And you are NOT a novice. Plus you have a natural artist eye.
