Celebrating Cooper's Birthday

Cooper sported a custom shirt for his birthday dinner . . .

After pizza, then a candle and a song, Cooper was given his cake and we got ready with our cameras to capture him enjoying his first taste of sugar. He wasn't buying it. He had that cake in front of him for at least ten minutes as many attempts were made to convince him he might like it. He pushed away any hand that came near offering a taste. He tried to give back the spoon. Caycee just didn't understand it but she knew enough to take advantage of the situation.

This is Cooper signing "finished" - the hands wiggle/rock and it's cute and funny to know he can do that and understand it. He was kind of desperately signing FINISHED! LISTEN TO ME - I'M FINISHED!
Somehow he finally got a taste and oh how his tune changed. He thoroughly enjoyed his cake after that!

What a cutie pie, yeah. Maybe he would have liked a cake made of spinach, whole wheat flour, and wheat germ better...
The t-shirt is a scream, can I maybe borrow it some time?
