My first paper piecing project is finished. It's not perfect but I'm a fan now. I'll do paper piecing again. It really should have more quilting but I was pressed for time. It's a sample for a show that the LQS is going to this weekend so it's finished just the way it is.
It would have been fun to add a bit of lace to the window curtains or use a fancy stitch and white thread to add the look of lace . . . maybe the glass of the street lamp should have been yellow . . . a necklace on the mannequin . . . coulda, woulda, shoulda. That just gives me an excuse to make some more!

I Love it! It looks 3 dimensional in the photo. I'd love to see a whole street of these little shop fronts.
What kind of paper do you use? Did you have any trouble with the stitches pulling? or do you just leave the paper on the back?
...looks great!
Looks great to me! I say practice more... (insert evil maniacal laugh)...
:-)
It just turned out wonderfully! (We are our own worst critics, aren't we?) You should be really proud of this, especially since it was such a tough pattern to start with. I'll be waiting to see more now that you're hooked. :)
I think it's wonderful. I love to paper piece, especially the kind of blocks that truly need to be accurate. It's a great tecnique.
It came out great! I still love the intricacy of the door knob/handle!
It's very cute -- I don't have much patience with paper piecing myself though.
Love the Trip around the world quilt in your header.
Wow! That is beautiful!
Kathleen,
Absolutely beautiful - I will be right over to your shop to do some browsing... :)
